OUR BELIEFS
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Bible is entirely true and is the Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe in the Trinity. (One God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.) (Genesis 1:1, 26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3, 4:24; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and is true God and true man. (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13)
We believe that mankind was created in God’s image; that we sinned and became separated from God; and that all of humanity is born with a sinful nature and need of a Savior. (Genesis 1:26-27, 3:1-24; Romans 3:25, 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8)
We believe that Jesus died as a sacrifice for our sins; that He physically rose from the grave; and that all who believe in Him have forgiveness of sin and eternal life in His name. (Isaiah 53; Matthew 20:18; John 3:16; Romans 3:24-26, 5:1; I Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; I John 2:2; Matthew 28:6; Romans 10:9; 1 Corinthians 15:14)
We believe Jesus will return to earth and fix the world. (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus and we become children of God when we accept Christ as Savior. (John 3:3-5,1:12-13; James 1:18; I Peter 1:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe in heaven and hell as defined in the Scriptures. (John 5:28-29; I Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15)
We believe that all Christians are in-dwelt and baptized by the Holy Spirit when they receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We believe that water baptism is the first step of obedience after trusting Christ as Savior. (Acts 2:28-41, 47; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:36-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3, 4; I Corinthians 12:13)
We believe that Christians should take communion as a reminder of the death and resurrection of Christ for our sins. (Acts 2:42-46; I Corinthians 11:23-29)
We believe in the global church composed of believers of any race or nation and we believe in the local church, consisting of a group of believers in Jesus, baptized, and together for worship, evangelism and fellowship. (Matthew 28:17-20; Acts 2:41-42; I Corinthians 12:12-31)
