December 8

Matthew 1:18 This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Here is what I believe this verse teaches us - God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.

Mary was just a teenage girl. Joseph was just a carpenter. But in the hands of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, these two ordinary people became extraordinary.

Never underestimate how a natural act of kindness can supernaturally affect the world.

Never underestimate your ability to be used by the Holy Spirit to accomplish something extraordinary.

Never underestimate how a positive word can affect a life forever.

We live in a natural world, but the supernatural breaks through every time we allow God to use us.

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to open doors. Ask Him to use you to do something good in the world or speak a blessing over someone else. Like God used ordinary Mary and Joseph, God will use ordinary you if you will invite Him to.
