Our Pastors

Eric & Kelly Dykstra are Lead Pastors of The Crossing Church. They have been married more than 20 years and have three awesome kiddos (two teens & one college kid). They are passionate about seeing broken people far from God come to know the amazing grace of Jesus. God has gifted them both with dynamic preaching and leadership styles, empowering them to share the truth of Christ with a wide demographic of people.

Pastor Eric earned his undergrad at Tennessee Temple University, which is where he met Kelly. He earned his Master's at Faith Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa, which is where he grew up. Spending his summers on his grandpa's farm gave him a love for fishing and the out-of-doors. Pastor Eric published his first book, Grace On Tap, in the fall of 2013. He serves on the board of several churches across the country and mentors church planters, making an impact for Jesus beyond the walls of The Crossing. He is on the Advisory Team for C3 Global, a relational network elevating pastors and equipping churches. In December 2013, Pastor Eric was honored by the Minnesota Jaycees as one of the 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans. He co-authored the book Unhooked & Untangled: A Guide to Finding Freedom from your Vices, Addictions, and Bad Habits in June of 2014. Available on Amazon and Kindle.

Pastor Kelly is a "country girl" from Alabama. She holds a B.S. from University of Northwestern. In 2010, she launched Twirl, a ministry designed to empower the women of The Crossing to thrive in their unique design from God and to work together to change the world. She raises awareness and support for organizations seeking to abolish human trafficking. Pastor Kelly is passionate about enriching the lives of the children at Compassion For All orphanage in Haiti and serving local children through the advisory council for the Boys & Girls Club. In addition to hosting weekend services, she enjoys preaching both at The Crossing and as a guest speaker elsewhere. Her first book, The Simple Journal: A starting place for encountering God, was released in April 2014. Her book The People Mover was released in May 2015. Available on Amazon and Kindle. Pastor Kelly enjoys country music, jars of olives, great high heels, and eating out with her family.

They love the Lord and lead a rock solid church built upon the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. I grew up in Minnesota, and I am so thankful that a church like The Crossing exists in my home state.
